Pre-sales Engineer I/II/III

About the Role

At net2phone, Sales engineers are instrumental in the sales process. They provide consulting services, understand prospects’ business pains, and propose a technical solution to solve their business needs.

 

You’re a key member of the sales team. Your main responsibility is to provide pre-sales technical expertise for net2phone cloud services and help to close deals faster. You interact directly with all levels of management on the customer accounts including the executive management team (CEO, CTO, COO, CIO, etc.) You identify key customer requirements and business needs and present Net2phone solutions that meet those requirements.

 

You’re a subject matter expert who does right by the customer because you know that people buy from people, and that your credibility is paramount.

Responsibilities

  • Transfer industry, technical, and product knowledge to customers.
  • Keep up-to-date on relevant competitive solutions, products, and services.
  • Provide technical and sales support to assigned territory.
  • Perform advanced technical presentations and demonstrations for customers and prospects.
  • Develop and maintain an expert understanding of all net2phone applications and products.
  • Actively participate as an SME for certain products and technologies, providing consultative
  • Support to other Sales Engineers in their area of specialization.
  • Provide direct support for the technical fulfillment of RFP’s in your assigned territory.
  • Responsible for continued education on the platform and underlying technologies.

Requirements

  • 1-5 years of sales engineering experience
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in Telephony, Networking, Unified Communications and Contact Center, (UCaaS or CCaaS preferred)
  • Ability to work effectively on a remote basis.
  • Ability to teach other members of the team and act as a mentor as required.
  • Requires an action-oriented individual with a very strong initiative to be successful.
  • Participating at onsite trainings and self-learning is key to your role.
  • Willingness to take ownership of accounts and account-related actions.
  • Must be able to coordinate across various groups and functional teams.
  • Ability to complete job responsibilities with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to apply solutions, technology, and products to a business opportunity.
