Net2Phone Signs Compaq as Distribution Partner Presario Keyboard
to Feature Link
Hackensack, NJ - August 24, 1999 - Net2Phone Inc. (NASDAQ: NTOP)
today announced an agreement with Compaq (NYSE: CPQ) to offer their
award-winning Internet telephony services to new Compaq Presario
customers in Canada, Latin America, Japan and Asia-Pacific.
Under the agreement, a button located on the Presario keyboard
will connect online users to a co-branded telephony services web
site. Called the Community Center button, it initially connects
Presario customers to a Compaq and Net2Phone joint web site which
features free downloadable PC-to-phone software, download instructions,
and details about Net2Phone's low calling rates. After downloading
the software and setting up an account, the user can launch the
application and connect via the Web to a phone anywhere in the world.
"Compaq has always been an advocate of providing value-added Internet
services to our customers world-wide, and our relationship with
Net2Phone reinforces that direction," said Robert W. Lund, Vice
President, Business Development, Compaq Computer Corporation. "We
are pleased to be able to offer communications and community services
over the Internet, enabling our customers to further leverage the
power of the Web."
Compaq is currently shipping Presario keyboards with this capability
to customers in Canada, Latin America, Japan, and Asia-Pacific.
Net2Phone has country specific web sites available in each market.

"Compaq offers a powerful distribution channel to increase market
awareness and demand for Net2Phone," said Yonah Lloyd, Vice President
of Business Development, Net2Phone. "Compaq Presario users are now
one touch away from experiencing the best Internet telephony service
available."
Net2Phone has developed free software that routes calls over the
Internet from a computer to any phone in the world at significantly
reduced rates. Because calls are carried over the Internet until
they reach Net2Phone's switches, rates are not dependent upon the
country of origin. As a result, users can save up to 95% off their
international phone bill, and can also make US toll-free calls from
anywhere in the world.
Net2Phone is a leading provider of voice-enhanced Internet communications
services to individuals and businesses worldwide. Net2Phone enables
people to place low-cost high quality calls from their computer,
